"Morning Star,
Evening Star" 2003
This one act play involved a cast of twenty 13 -16 year olds and
was an adaptation of the the play “The Dreams of Anne Frank”.
The play follows the journey of Anne Frank during her years
in hiding under the Nazi regime in Holland during World War two.
Through her thoughts and dreams we travel with her as she says
goodbye to childhood, battles with her mother, falls in love
for the first time, dreams of meeting Winston Churchill and suffers
the harsh reality of war.
Through the rehearsal process, much research was done by the cast on the particular
period in history and also of the treatment of jews during world war two. A hugely rewarding project for all involved.
