"A Second
in Time" 2002
This piece involved a very large cast of 60 young people between
the ages of 9 and 15. The cast was divided into groups, with
each group performing a separate act of the play. The play
opens with a statue overlooking the ongoings of a very
busy city where stories are everywhere in the lives of every
character from the flower sellers to the yupppie business men,
from the woman desperately trying to loose weight to the waitress
who hates her boss. .....”Story, I'll tell you a story” each
character repeats in turn and then in a whirl wind we are brought
back in time to a story of old Ireland and more characters leap
forward.
Again, this piece explored important themes, characters, ancient
Ireland in a wonderful showcase of talent which ran for three nights
in Players Theatre, to packed audiences. June 2002.
